This flip-up is perfect for welders and industrial workers who require a shaded lens while working with high intensity light sources and a traditional clear impact-resistant polycarbonate lens when their task is complete. These glasses offer adjustable temple bars that extend and pivot up and down allowing greater comfort for longer wearing time. Plus, the RX-17004 features ultra-dura anti-scratch lens coating, side shields for extra protection against flying particles, and flip-up lenses which are offered in IR Welding Shade 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 and Shade 8.0. These glasses are great! I am a jewelry maker and the glasses are bifocal with my regular prescription and the 2.5+ for close up work. I can work and see normal easily. The fold up and down sun glass part is the darkest possible and protect my eyes from torches and kilns. I only wish I had gotten a little lighter for the sun glass part. But thats on me. The fit is perfect!
