Does your work or hobby demand the use of safety glasses, yet also requires close-up tasks, like filling out forms, reading invoices, or precision hands-on activity? In the past you may have simply made do with removing your safety glasses and substituting reading glasses when necessary. This, however, is risky behavior. It likely violates company policy and safety practices. Worse yet, whatever you needed those safety glasses for might decide to strike when you’re wearing standard reading glasses instead.
If you need both reading glasses and safety glasses, you have a couple of options. Fit-over safety glasses are aptly named, as they do just that: they fit over your existing reading glasses, adding a level of safety to your eyewear arrangement. For some, however, this is a cumbersome method of merging safety and reading glasses. For those people, Rx Safety has a line of full lens safety reading glasses that do all the merging for you in a single pair.
These safety reading glasses feature either a wrap-around format or extensions that protect your eyes in profile. Five different designs are offered for your personal choice and comfort, and they’re available in a wider magnification power range than you’ll find in a typical drug store’s selection. All five also include lenses that are made of high quality impact-resistant polycarbonate, and all meet the ANSI Z87-approved safety standard. Here are the available models and some of their individual features:
Available in Prescriptions Ranging from +1.00 to +3.00
Any of these five choices will provide comfort, safety, and clear, customizable vision in close. Forget having to choose between safety and the ability to focus on fine details; let our full lens safety reading glasses correct your vision and protect your eyes at the same time.
Good morning. I’m interested in PRG206YB safety reading glasses. I don’t see specs on the lenses. Are they scratch resistant? Are they fog proof? Thanks

They do have a scratch coating applied to the lenses. It will not make them scratch proof. There is no anti-fog coating on the lenses.
