g’daY i have a script of about -11.5 and also multi focal ,can the lens just be made thicker to be a safety lens. so the same curve just thicker ?
I don’t have my exact perception handy, but I know it’s around -11 in both eyes for lenses. I wear a -10 in contacts. I’ve gotten polycarbonate lenses in the past and couldn’t see anything. I’m really tired of wearing safety glasses over my glasses. Would my prescription meet ansi standards in a high index lens?

I would like to purchase the Det Cord with prescription as a safety glass. However I have a high prescription of 4.75 and 5.5 and astigmatism of about -2.0. Which lens would you recommend. Would the high index be impact resistant?
For safety lenses you would need to go with the polycarbonte material. They are high impact rated and the lenses will be marked as such.
