When your work requires both eye protection and a clear view of close-up details, switching between safety glasses and reading glasses can be inconvenient. Wrap around bifocal safety glasses offer a practical alternative by combining protective eyewear with built-in magnification.
Whether you’re working in a shop, handling tools, completing detailed assembly work, or tackling projects around the house, the right pair can help you see what you’re doing while keeping your eyes protected.
Bifocal safety glasses, sometimes called safety readers, feature a magnified reading segment built directly into the lower portion of the lens. The rest of the lens remains unmagnified, allowing you to look ahead normally and then glance downward when you need extra help seeing something up close.
A wrap around frame adds another advantage. Instead of sitting relatively flat across the face, the frame and lenses curve around the sides of the eyes. This design can provide broader coverage while creating the close, secure fit many people prefer for active work.
One of the biggest advantages of wrap around safety glasses with bifocals is coverage. The curved design helps protect more of the area around your eyes while maintaining a sporty, streamlined appearance.
For anyone who regularly moves between general tasks and detailed close-up work, combining this type of frame with a bifocal lens can make safety eyewear much more convenient.
The bifocal portion of the lens is designed to make small details easier to see without requiring a separate pair of reading glasses.
At RX Safety, bifocal safety glasses are available in multiple magnification strengths, ranging from +1.00 to +3.00. Choosing the correct strength depends on factors such as your normal working distance and how much magnification you need.
If you’re uncertain which bifocal strength is appropriate for you, an eye care professional can help determine the right magnification for your vision needs.
Magnification is only part of the equation. Safety eyewear should also provide the level of impact protection appropriate for your environment.
RX Safety offers bifocal safety glasses with durable polycarbonate lenses, including options designed to meet ANSI Z87.1 safety standards. Different lens colors and features are also available for different working conditions.
Always check the specific safety rating of the individual pair you’re considering rather than assuming every bifocal or wrap around frame provides the same level of protection.
The best wrap around bifocal safety glasses bring together three important features: protection, comfortable coverage, and convenient near-vision magnification. Instead of constantly switching between readers and protective eyewear, you can have both functions in one pair.
Explore the RX Safety bifocal safety glasses collection to compare available styles, magnification strengths, lens options, and safety features and find the pair that works best for you.

I want to make sure I understand you correctly so what you are asking is you would like us to put your existing lenses into a different style frame? Unfortunately we can’t do that we have tried it in the past and it never works correctly. We have to many problems re-edging the lenses into a smaller frame it just doesn’t work.
